vendor neutral Technology Advisory Services,
the technical Advanced Diagnostic Services, the advanced
Data Recovery Services, and specific
ContentForensic Services. The reports generated by the Group
are an independent product of the Expert engaged, uninfluenced by the demand or constraint
of the criminal prosecution or civil litigation. Always relying on fact and clear documented opinion,
the Expert will provide assistance in the form of objective, unbiased resource to the Client, court
and/or legal teams; on the specialist area of electronic data storage systems.

Engagements
Clients engage the Group and the assigned Expert to provide a variety of deliverables
including carrying out thorough and detailed investigations into the facts of the matter,
reviewing all the available information, writing a report including identifying strengths and
weaknesses, preparing graphs, plans, photographs that will help not only the legal team,
but also the judge, court, jury and other lay people to understand the evidence presented.
Supporting Activities
The engagement letter agreed between the Client and the Group, will detail
the expectations and deliverables from the Expert. These include some or all of the following:
- Preparation of a final/preliminary expert report on quantum and/or liability
- Attend meetings of experts for criminal and civil cases to narrow issues before a trial
- Consider a settlement
- Attend conferences with counsel
- Attend at court for trial and/or other hearings
- Collect printed evidence and analyse
- Collect electronic evidence, copy and analyse/search
- Undertake extended tests and/or experiments related to the case
- Research into associated issues or matters
- Take photographs of evidence, and/or crime scenes as per instruction
Expert Witness Reports
The primary deliverable from any engagement is the preparation of a final independent
Expert Witness Report or statement, that will be prepared on behalf of the Client. The
report itself will provide an introduction to the case/matter, the parties involved and
any specific terminology used throughout the report. With separate sections for
Instructions and Issues ; the Investigation itself (scope, evidence, practical examination,
research, collection and search of electronic evidence plus any additional tests); the
Opinion (reviewing the outcome of the factual investigation); and finally a declaration
(specifically a Statement of Compliance and a Statement of Truth).
